The last time I wrote about the Clippers was after they were stomped by the Warriors. But a lot has changed since then. The Clippers are now playing really well. They’re 10-3 since then, they’re on a 6 game winning streak, and the offense looks better than it ever has. With Paul looking to score more, and with Blake’s midrange shot becoming a threat, the floor has opened up a lot for the offense. The ball doesn’t stick, and the players are trusting the pass more than ever. This leads to tons of opportunities for everyone on the court.
I’m interested to see Anthony Davis and how we’ll play against the emerging superstar. That matchup should be a lot of fun to watch, but Davis alone won’t be enough to stop the Clippers. I expect the starters to rest most of the fourth quarter.
