My friend recently asked me to help him make a YouTube sports page (here’s a link to his page), and he asked me what it would take to take his videos to the next level. My answer was simple: iPad Air 2. It’s so powerful and now has the same camera as the iPhone’s. He’ll be able to do anything he could imagine, with just an iPad.
So as I watched this new iPad Air 2 commercial, which is all about making videos with the iPad—and was actually shot and created entirely on the iPad—it felt good to see my point validated. This is the next generation of creators. These people will go through life with a blank canvas, the iPad, and they’ll be creating the most exciting and interesting things.
If there’s anything you want to create and share with the world, there’s nothing better than the iPad to so.
You can’t do your work according to other people’s values. I’m not talking about “Following your dream” either. I never liked the inspirational value of that phrase. Dreaming is a way of trivializing the process. The obsession that carries you through the failure as well as the successes. If you’re dreaming, your sleeping and it’s important and imperative to always be awake to your feelings, your possibilities, your ambitions, and don’t get hung up on the consequences.
