I didn’t get a chance to take a picture after basketball this weekend, so I blended the previous four weeks into one. Here’s your picture.
To continue the theme of building some type of schedule for my site, I’m going to try something new: every Friday, I’ll do a recap of a variety of things: from that week’s posts, to events and moments in my life that I want to share.
Discussion list for this week:
I teamed up with Boy Once Blind to release a project: a one track, 20 minute long collaboration. The coolest thing about this project is that it sounds like it was meant to be together, when in fact, it’s two separate projects all together, that I blended into one. The first is JP’s debut album, “Inspired By Tragedy”, where I pulled his vocals from. The second is leftover and unfinished songs that didn’t make album from last year, The Mask. Together though, it fused into something that sounds cohesive.
This is first week of the Just Ask Series, and the first week that I went into the service knowing that my notes would be public and I needed to share my thoughts on what I’ve learned. Because of that, I processed and retained the information much better.
I knew going into week 6 that I wanted to make a video, recapping what my small group is about. I did just that, and I think it came out great. What this video doesn’t show you, and something that I’ve been thinking about a lot this week, is how my attention to detail has slowed down my quality time with the people from the group. I’ve been spending more time talking about the group than actually enjoying my time with them. I’ll be looking to change that this week, as well as being creative with sharing some form of art, and hopefully get others to share also.
This week’s guest post was from my friend Chip, titled Beginner’s Guide to Creating Ideas. He did a great job breaking down some fundamentals of creating. I’m thankful for his thoughts, as well as everyone else that has shared so far. It has become the most popular posts on my site, and I’ll continue finding ways to build upon this.
I released a music video this week, for How To Be Human. It’s for the Pilot album coming out at the end of this year (I keep saying the end of the year as if it’s not here already…but I haven’t worked on Pilot since earlier this year. I need to get to work).
Last night, I hit the buzzer beater. I was able to finish up this post and release it before it wouldn’t qualify for the Friday Recap. I bought a new car this week, I’m loving it more each time I start it up and drive off. It fits me in more ways than any vehicle I’ve ever owned. In this post, I break down what I enjoy about the car, and my reasons for buying it.
I didn’t link to much this week, sorry. I’m in love with the opening intro to NBA 2K17, War For The Planet Of The Apes has a new teaser trailer, and The Weeknd performed his two new songs on SNL. I also posted a quote:
