My favorite feature about the iPhone is the camera. I know there’s better cameras out there, but I’ve never owned one. Each year, as the iPhone continues to improve, the memories of my family and the world around me improve with it. If Apple didn’t improve anything else about their phone, and only gave me a better camera each year, it would still be worth the yearly investment.
Here are the apps I use to enhance my photography:
Loom: storage and sync. I want all of my memories to be backed up and stored so they’re never lost. I also want to access these picture on any device (iPhone, iPad, web, etc.). What I love about Loom is how accessible my pictures are, no matter what I’m using at the time. It doesn’t get easier than Loom.
Afterlight: photo editing and filtering. I could remember when editing a picture required a computer and a very complicated program that I never wanted to use. Now, Afterlight provides the fastest way to touch a picture before sharing it with the world. (I’m also testing out VSCOcam, which is getting a lot of praise and could eventually replace Afterlight, but for now, Afterlight is the one I’m recommending.)
Over: adding text to a photo. I highly recommend this app to anyone that wants to add words to their favorite photo. When it comes to adding fonts to a picture, I’ve yet to find an app that comes close to Over.
Diptic: an app that I’ve been using for many years, Diptic allows me to make a collage out of multiple photos. I use this app when I have several pics, but only want to post one.
It's simple: if you write your email address here, my words will reach you again.
