Yet my iPad was just there, did it’s job and stayed the hell out of my way, and never once demanded I do housekeeping on it. The apps update in the background. The devices backs up each night automatically. It’s just always ready to go.
Over the last few years, I’ve relied on an actual computer less and less. There’s only two things remaining that I use my Mac mini for:
Everything else—managing files in Dropbox, running a website through Dropbox, and having the best apps to write and create—is handled from iOS.
And the best part about it, I can see the light on how to get rid of my Mac. First, I plan on getting either a Synology or a Drobo, to manage my movies and tv shows on, and allow Plex to act as a server on the NAS drive. And second, I’ll be investing in a iOS microphone that allows me to record everything on the iPad. So close to being iOS only.
It's simple: if you write your email address here, my words will reach you again.
