Computing Needs a Reboot
Computing these days is like a junkyard. Apps and services all vying to be recognized as a unique kind of garbage. Platform vendors have given up any pretense of trying to create a system to help me manage everything, and barely direct me where to dump my latest pile of stuff.

Let’s see: email, slack, imessage, signal, twitter, instagram, gdocs, keynote, powerpoint, adobe, figma, nuclino, jira, github, dropbox, gdrive, zoom, meet, teams, spotify, overcast, youtube, netflix, appletv+, disney+, …, personal/work versions for many & accounts for them all.

It’s up to me to drive my laptop and phone dumptrucks through everything, making paths through the piles of garbage to find where I’ve put things so I can find them again later and turn them over and then share them back out to other people.
