Update: Grid system is now in place. Just need it cleaned up and styled.
Grid System For /shop page For tag pages For photoblogs Work to add grid layouts to long photo entries Integrate Zoom function into grid-image layouts↩
Only on homepage Above face No box “Just start typing. This is your canvas.” It’s then sent to email or dropbox. What I’ve found so far. Something like these two links below, paired together could get it to land in my inbox I believe. Maybe these two and IFTTT could get it into Dropbox? Or just let it live in the email if I have to. Minimal look is more important than the Dropbox integration. https://codesandbox.io/s/mZRjw05yp https://formspree.io/↩
Make images full screen on iPhone No space between images BUT keep space for words that start underneath like currently. (I tried removing space but then words lose it’s white space.)↩
Here’s the form that can be customized. Plan to simplify the look of this form.
<form action=“https://buttondown.email/api/emails/embed-subscribe/nashp” method=“post” target=“popupwindow” onsubmit=“window.open(‘https://buttondown.email/nashp’, ‘popupwindow’)” class=“embeddable-buttondown-form” \> <label for=“bd-email”>Enter your email</label\> <input type=“email” name=“email” id=“bd-email”\> <input type=“hidden” value=“1” name=“embed”/\> <input type=“submit” value=“Subscribe” /\> <p\> <a href=“https://buttondown.email” target=“_blank”>Powered by Buttondown.</a\> </p\> </form\>↩
Attempt to glitch all images, banner is most important though nshp.xyz/2WS1oXW Glitch Banner Glitch/flicker turns color as it glitches (like site example) Glitch Face/shirt Same as banner, have these glitch as well.↩
Use the Cartoon Face transition Duplicate that code Use the .md page I have now (/kid) Randomly choose one of them Have it SLOWLY transition from each face on /kid, long enough to read caption↩
Code that looks as simple as Blot’s default template.
Bigfoot footnotes included
Build Engine to deploy Build out variables Banner Ticker block tags Main color Accent Color(s) Build Development Branch for Testing Create Git-style branch/merge workflow Work on /engine page to present↩
Similar to “Thanks” and how it fades at the bottom of footer, I’m thinking about my liked tweets from /twitter to do the same. Every day I Like a dozen or more tweets. That’s content that will always be changing..good for site..Haven’t thought it completely through yet though↩
Ticker system Similar to search box, have Top Ticker blend in very subtle with opacity inside of Banner, at the top, inside banner. (At the bottom of banner, the phrase, “Observations and obsessions”, I’d like the top ticker to look like those words as much as possible, opacity, letter spacing, etc. It’ll be hard to read and mostly useless, but it’ll have a subtle presence.) Ticker rotate through latest entries similar to face Clean up the different ticker htmls “top ticker” (espn style ticker) “tag ticker” (For footer ticker)↩
Site live on forever If I don’t pay for Blot or Hover domain, how can my content still be accessed?
I’m always thinking about what I’m leaving behind. If I die tomorrow, how will this site live on, in a static state? Maybe github version? Each year, I try to find something that’ll allow me create something like this.↩
Change a few pages from list to tasks.
When creating these new sites for people, I’m noticing how little code and html pages are there. And even copying things over, I’m not needing to bring nearly as much as I already have.
Whether it’s when we finials get the github one built, or when the engine is built and ready to use for others, I’d really like mine to have as little code/html files as possible.
It’s a balance I guess I’m looking for:
However possible this is, I think the code will be healthier for it.
Cleaning Blog Folders
I’m waiting for David to finally allow dates to be added to all blog posts with one clean-up button on Blot, because I blog with no metadata. This causes me to have trouble when organizing and moving blog posts around. As my site evolves though, I see a much simpler folder structure going forward. The one I have now was before and during the time you stepped in and built tickers and stuff.
